Default Refinish Teak Results-Pictures

I re-finished some of the teak on my V. I cleaned the teak with 25% Clorox, 75% H2O, used teak brightener next, sanded with my ROS, and finished with Sikkens Cetol Natural Teak (satin finish). 3 coats of Cetol with 00 steel wool between each coat. I have used Cetol before, and if done properly, you don't have to recoat (steelwool and 1 or 2 coats on top of old finish) for about 3-4 years! That is open to the weather 24-7 for 9 months a year. I am now in the process of refurbishing the fiberglass rod boxes and will post pics when complete.

This my bilge door. I replaced the center panel with teak marine plywood because the original plywood was de -laminating.

I routed out the old plywood from the back and the trim to cover is dark cedar.

Rod holders and rod box trim.

All rod box trim.

This is the cuddy door before the refinish.
