Put the boat in Saturday to adjust the rpm’s and do a general shakedown.
The first trip of the day was an absolute abomination. Noticed a strange intermittent vibration on occasions. Pulled the cowl off and the air damper was loose. Figured it would be better to pull it out the water to work on it. After being in the water for only 45 minutes back on the trailer we go. Not that you can tell much by the picture but two of the ¼” bolts had came out completely and not one but both of them got sucked down the throat of the lower carb. ![]() The red arrow is one of the bolt heads (the second is behind the first) and the blue arrow is one of the locations where a bolt came from. ![]() After performing a double miracle by removing them and retightening them, back in the water we go. ![]() After burning up about 10 gallons of fuel testing the engines performance, we realized it was occasionally skipping and generally running rich. Figured it best to tie back to the dock and wait for high tide tomorrow to pull it back out.
