Default Rough start to the weekend

This morning my boss came down to my department, I was out in the shop talking to a couple of my techs, boss wanted to see me in my office ??? ???
Boss: Whats your schedule like today?
Me: My schedule is what you want it to be boss, whatcha need?
Boss: Can you help me do something?
Me: Sure, whatcha got?
Boss:Can you ride over to my house with me, I gotta take my boat to the Marina.
Me: Sure, when.
Boss: Get your driver and meet me in 30 minutes at my car.
Me: You got it boss

So we proceded to hop on his 65 Viking sportfish and run it to Fort Pierce, they hauled it out, pulled the props, pressure washed it.
He just had his 1000 hr service done ($24,000) and now he's getting it ready to fish the Bacardi Invitational Marlin Tourney.

His Son picked us up at the marina, he seemed pretty pumped up about the tourney. He felt like he has a good chance to place in the money because lots of the other guys won't be in shape to fish "cause they will have to much booze and too many hookers"

I was forced to ask what the proper number of hookers should be.
The way I see it is 12 might not be enough, but one could be too many!!!

Well, the weekend was okay. But I paid for it today. One of the managers that works for me and one of his service advisors went out last night and never made it to work today. My shuttle bus driver got in a verbal fight with a customer and put her off the shuttle bus. Had a plumbing issue after a senior citizen used the restroom, the vent let loose and vented into the customer waiting area - smelled like something died and fell in a sulphur pit. other than that pretty quiet.

Let me see, last night, oh yea Detectives staking out a burglars stolen car to see if he shows to reuse it, he does then runs one of them down with it, takes off, got my guys going to them, second 911 comes in about the accident with trapped victims on the overpass, burglary suspect crashes into tree and bounces into house, bails out on foot carrying bag of likely proceeds from earlier house burglary. Jaws of life needed to remove stuck lady in car, Fire dept. and Rescue sqaud dispatched to cover possible fire with leaking fuel. 911 comes in man not breathing, oops no more cops, time to start prioritizing, thats why they pay me the big bucks ::) Coordinating officers from 4 towns I called for mutual aid in search of large wooded area for Agg Assault suspect, K9 officer from County PD called to come., Fire Dept. Unit dispatched with thermal sensor unit to help in search. Crazy Chinese woman on 911 screaming to me something about her husband beating her, oops no more cops again. Man not breathing is still not breathing, we now have a unattended death investigation, 38 years old :'( One of my officers lost in wooded area , suspect still not found, Chinese man arrested for beating his wife, Woman removed from car but fuel opn ground, DEP notified. Can't raise one of my officers in the woods, where is he, is he hurt, did he find the suspect and it did not go well :-[ My hot dinner is now sitting for 1 hour and not looking good, K9 could not get a good trail after suspect crossed brook. Now coordinating a pattern search for suspect and officer where the Fu@k is he, Old Lieutenant worrying about his men is getting very upset, young patrolmen and patrol Sgt. sensing they better find the Lieutenants man before the sh!t hits the fan. Drunk driver piles into another car, accident with injuries oh oh still no cops , Crazy Chinese womans calls back, man arrested by officers fleeing from her home and does not speak english is her brother, who was chasing her husband, now husband is back and pounding on her bedroom door oh oh no more cops to send , Lost officer surfaces his radio battery died and so did his flash light, walked out thru woods in dark following a distant light. Suspect not found, stolen car towed warrants and reports have to be done, Prosecutors Office called to get approvals for indictable charges, Bordering town calling on radio, they had a home invasion are in pursuit of suspect vehicle approaching our town, he crashes, in our town of course, foot pursuit three suspects, two armed fled different directions, Oh Oh no officers to send, I use my Police Watch Commander magical powers and Abbra Kadabra I provide two officers for the search Oh Sh!t one of them is me ::) two suspects found, guns thrown away, it seems nasty criminal types don't want to point guns at people like nasty Police Lieutenants that will shoot them dead as a stump. New search coordinated for guns, can't leave them to be found by some kid. Only one gun found, second gun still out there, Nasty Police Lieutenant has private conversation with suspect to see if he will cooperate(volunteer) to assist us with search for second gun, gun found.Nasty Police Lieutenants have to make those kind of decisions all the time. Back at headquarters for awhile paperwork is looking like the ninex yellow pages and I know there will be dozens of mistakes I'll have to correct, reheat my dinner in microwave for the third time tonight and eat it. Message on my cell phone, check it it is my 11 year old daughter, their grls basketball team won, she scored four baskets. 911 goes off ??? . Oh yea irrate citizen comes in to make a complaint, seems he called about being locked out of his car in his driveway over an hour ago and was told that we would send someone as soon as we had an officer available. He had found a spare key and got in but never called us because he wanted to see how long a taxpayer would have to wait to get a police officer to leave his donut and coffee break to come and unlock his car door. Seasoned Police Lieutenant smiles and says have a nice day and sends the man away happy.

Message to self arrange some days soon down on South Easy St. FLA 8)

It takes dedication to get in your position Willy. My hats off to you for taking care of the "dirty" work that goes on in this world.

I have a friend that's a bail bondsman and anytime its warm outside, or a holiday, of full moon he's like, "well, I'm probably gonna make some money this weekend cause I know somebody is gonna want to do something stupid."

Thank God for doctors and police officers (and fishermen).
