Default BIT OF FISHIN, WITH PICTURES.

got out for a bit with my pop today and had a great day.
went for fluke and had a bit of everything.
you cant go 100 yards without running into bluefish this time of year. huge school of 3 - 5 pounders going nuts on huge schools of spearing. action was too hot to go for camera but heres my pop bouncing for fluke.

pretty little fish.
all in all, a good day.

Wow CTT, you are a chip off the old block aren't you!? ;D ;D

Looks like a great day with dad.

Could that guy in the V pass any closer and he could clearly see
you are fishing, he coulda slowed to reduce his wake.
Some people are just inconsiderate.

yeah parish another fine day.

in his defense we were drifting right down the middle of the channel of a relatively narrow inlet. we all do.
fish there for a couple hours and a hundred boats blast through there.

you shoulda seen the 65 hatteras go through at about 15 - 20 knots. threw a wake had us all holdin on.

gonna try to find a few pictures of the inlet.

heres a shot looking out (west) .
if it were a better pictur you would almost be able to make out sandy hook new jersey.

if anybody heard of the small thresher that swam up on the beach in the rockaways last week, its that beach on the right.

looking east you see the four queens which was a famous canyon boat in the 90's. it was in all the national fishing magazines. i think the guy died some time ago and now it just sits.
the bridge is the atlantic beach bridge which connects the barrier island of long beach to queens.
it is where the scene from the godfather was filmed when sonny got whacked.

not the best pictures but you get the idea.
