Default RI / MA Fishing

Just curious if there is still any good salt water fishing in these areas this time of year and where?

About to get the 20'V20 running, but am not sure if I should bother putting in the water at this point or just winterize.

thanks

Well, we've had a stretch of some pretty bad weather here lately with seas as high as 11 feet. :o So, naturally, safety should be a main concern. Guy's are catching some good Stripers, but I've found that this time of year, the Striper action is better from shore via surf and jetty fishing.
Cod fishing should be good provided we get some decent weather that calms the sea a bit. Outer Boston Harbor is a good bet for inshore Cod fishing without having to head out 25 miles to Stellwaggen Bank.
Try Buzzards Bay on a decent day as well for some hold over Fluke and still some Sea Bass. Mashnee Flats would be a good place to try for that action.
I also talked to a friend that's getting some Totaug action in RI in and around Narragansett Bay.
Let me know if you need more specifics on some Cod locations around Boston Harbor. Me and macojoe are hoping for a break in the weather to get out for some Cod soon. If it happens, maybe we can get together. That way you'd at least have another boat in the area in case trouble arises.

the only thing is you will have to tie my hooks and rigs on!! My hands in this weather are useless!
I will have gloves on the whole time or else they will be dead !
Unless you have a better place for me to keepm them warm?? ::)

My cousin and I have been waiting for another decent w/e to hit Stellwagen. Nothing but sand sharks last time we went out. Let us know how it goes.

Yea, try your arm pits! ;D

Unless of course your a hot brunette with a gentle touch. :o

Talked it over with my buddy. Looks like we are going to call it a year. The boat just isnt close enough to where we want it to feel safe and whell equiped to deal with cold water, cold air, and rough seas in an emergency situation.

Golver good idea, Every one is getting winterized fast I have been talking to. Witch of November is early this year hight sea's every other weekend and constent wind. Just think all the money you save in gas for the boat can be dumped into the furnace this fall, I heard heating oil has allredy hit $2.09 a gl. :-/
