I bought that nice live well and got to figure where to put it. I love what you see there BS, but I would have to make some kind of removable set up to hold it in place, My access to the bildge and fuel bulbs etc is in a hatch right where that livewell is located. Have not figured this one out yet. ???

Come to think about it how does the guy with that boat access his bildge area etc. He must have very long arms. On mine with the same full transom that is a long drop down from the two hatches on the top of the transom :o

Willy - that's a good question. I'll bet he has some access through the hatches at the top of the transom, but what I would do is install a hatch in the floor in front of the livewell.

Yea that might even get a lightly loaded V up on plane, my 9.9 get's 10mph wide open, if I didn't have to have a 9.9 for fresh water use here I would have gone the bigger motor route to, almost as good as having twins, safety wise that is.

speaking of kickers. I was looking at putting a 9.9 on my 73. Is there some kind of adapter to hook steering up? I would want somthing where I could remove easly when I need 9.9 for my skiff.

I thought about that but i just leave the main engine all the way down and steer from the helm it reacts better than you might think. It acts as a rudder.

And if your main motor is further back on a bracket it works very well, I've been on boats that had a standard mount outboard and used the big motor to steer a kicker and it worked but slowly, on Old School it actually steers like it was hooked directly to the kicker, I was pleasantly surprised.
In answer to the question yes they make a steering connector and it snaps on and off easily. Guys snap them on and off all the time, mostly for transport purposes but it works well for any reason.
