Default Time for a new project...

I think I'll start a new project today. Hmmmm, what would look good here:

Maybe some of these:

I've already checked w/ West Marine and they have them in stock. They have agreed to price match w/ the internet plus I have a $30 coupon. I'll be picking up some M-120's this afternoon and for you photo hounds...I'll take some pics.

Airslot

ps Thats not the ideal place for a transducer. It really needs to be moved, 1.5" to the left I think.

Good project Air. A lot of guys here have pondered the question of wether or not they need tabs on their boats. It'll be good to here some before and after reports. 8)

I have wanted to do it for years now!! But the cost has always kept me thinking??

Of coarse it helps if you have a running boat to begin with :'(

Airslot,

That is the same spot my transducer is. I just installed a new Raymarine unit and thats where it recommended placing it. I look forward to hearing how the tabs do for ya.

Alright, I got the Bennett M-120's last night. I've got everything planned out and I'm just waiting for a little time to work 'em. I've got to work around my kicker bracket just a little. I'll be taking some pics along the way and I hope to have em done by the weekend.

I believe i have bennett trim tabs. here is a pic of my tab and where its positioned on the hull. maybe this will help... I like mine, i had to add fluid didnt realize the fluid was out and they wouldnt work... pain in the but to add fluid but they work great now. really help to even out the hull and if needed can bring the bow down fast. Thanks Zebra. Mine will probably be outboard about 2" further than yours are. They can really help the ride of any boat once you get used to them. I wouldn't even get on the 24 Albemarle without tabs.

QUESTION ON TRIM TABS: THEY ARE AWSOME!!!
PREVIOUS OWNER INSTALLED THEM BENNETT 12"
AND THEY MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE WHEN BOAT IS LOADED.

I'd guess its a 3 hour job start to finish if you had 3 hours. I slipped home for a short lunch and laid some stuff out. Probably work till dark tonight so no love there. I've got pics in the camera....

Good project Airslot. Been wondering if they might hit platform supports with us who have platforms.
Looking forward to seeing some pics. ;D
