Default it fits right in!

I was struggling with the lack of cooler space in my V, I wanted to keep the area behind the console clutter free so the logical approach was to make the changes in front of the console.

I removed the original “just for looks” (small front cooler seat)

and somehow fit in one of my 152 qt meat packing cod fishing coolers…( Macojoe's fluke slaughter coolers) :o :o

The end results are great. Yeah baby!

Besides been a tripping hazard, the original cheap cooler brackets would not fit tight around the larger cooler, So I went back to the drawing board to design a bracket that would hug the corners of the large cooler.

This is what I came up with,

It's made of 1/8” stainless steel, with a dull sand blasting finish, the large eyelets are nice to tie things down. In the future, I want to dip these brackets on rubber paint used for elect. insulation purposes, but that’s a winter project.

Now I have a two person seat in front of the console and an extra large very well insulated fish box, all tucked away without taking away walking space around the console, noticed how the T-top frame and cooler widths are the same? The original non insulated fish box up front is now a tackle/odds and ends storage area.

Gonna fill-er up tomorrow!!! ;) ;) ;)
;D

Looks perfect!!

Make sure you glob some 5200 under them brackets!! Or you will be fixing a soft floor there in no time!!

Don't forget to also fill the old holes from the old brackets!!

Please tell me you bought those brackets somewhere.
I don't want to have to make them, but I will when the time comes.
I like them as is, if it's chafeing the cooler just put a piece of innertube between them and the cooler.

bass those are GREAT!!...i LOVE 'EM ... only one thing I'd have done different (don't ya love this part ::)) would be to counter-sink the screw-holes so bottom of cooler doesn't rub on screw-heads ... and powder cote 'em off white and you oughtta sell 'em like hot cakes ...specially to commercial guys 8) ...that's a good design ;) ...

Thanks guys

The screw holes are counter sunk in I just didn’t have the proper screws, also the rounded bottom edge on the cooler does not touch the screws anyways. The cooler fits in tight, as you can see the sides of the braket are angled, the cooler stays in place with its on weight, the bungies are only needed for rough water running! ;D

Like I said, I want to dip these brackets on dipping rubber paint, same stuff electricians use to rubberize hand tool grips.

I still have the molds , so one of these days I quit my lazy industrial boiler operator’s job and start making these brackets for a living! :-/ :-/ :-/
