Default Fuel sending unit

I'm changing out the old fuel sending unit is there one you guys have used that works best with my 60 gal fuel tank. Just want one that you can look at the guage on top.

I have never seen a gauge that worked right in almost every boat I have been on!! Including mine!

So I just don't use them any more. I just make sure I am full before I leave and I never have a problem!

Zebra, budget permitting, you may be better off using the money for a new fuel gauge towards a navman fuel flow meter, instead.

I have the Navman fuel flow meter, it's part of the GPS/plotter, and it's great. If I get around to redoing the dash this winter the fuel gauge is gone.

To answer the question, I don't know of an "accurate" gauge of the type your looking for but I do know that Gaffrig has a new sending unit that is supposed to be very good.

Thanks, I was gonna put on a Navman fuel meter I was with a buddy who had one and i'm sold, worked great... I just thought i'd put in a unit in the tank that i could pull a hatch and see from the guage on top of the sending unit how much fuel was in the tank... I'll keep looking...
