If we ever explored some alternative energy in this country, we could save billions of dollars every year and reduce our dependence on oil, especially foreign oil. Wanna stop the terrorists, take away their income!! If every household in the united states changed one incandensent light bulb to an led lightbulb, we could save enough power to shut down anyone of the 10 largest power plants. If we used solar power for street lights and parking lot lights we could close another one. If power companies invested in developing and installing solar power, then we wouldn't have major power outages after natural disasters, like hurricanes. I hope some brilliant engineer develops a hybrid power outboard someday.

Could not agree more...problem is alternative energy research is a threat to the people who have the power to bring it about...only good news re high energy costs is it'll FORCE moves toward wind/solar and other fuels...
Hybrid outboard??...coming soon to a dealer near you!... ;)...
