Default Home with my dually!

Hey boys,

I'm back home now. We left for FL Thursday night at 10:00PM got there at about 2:00PM after driving 1000 miles! We just got back Saturday night at 8:00PM.

When we got there, for some reason the trailer lights weren't working. I think my factory installed trailer package has a problem with the wiring. So, I had to drive the whole time without lights. Thank the Lord we didn't get pulled over by the cops. I had one close call near home, but we got home safely.

When we got there, I came to find that the tires on the trailer were in poor condition. All four tires were cracked along the sidewalls and the tread was poor. I was so mad. >:( The ebay listing said the trailer was ready to go on a long trip. Yeah right. It could go on a long trip, a really long trip because you'd have to stop at a tire store along the way. So, my brother and I went to Walmart to see about getting some new tires. They didn't have my size! But the guy told me about a tractor store nearby. So, I bought four new tires and wheels for a total of $375. I had to do it; it was either that or deal with tire problems somewhere down the road.

Oh, and when the guy gave me the paperwork for the boat, I looked at it and it said the boat is an 86. The ebay listing said it was an 88 :-/

And it didn't even come with an anchor! That's the second boat I've boat on Ebay that didn't come with an anchor. What's the deal with the anchors ???

Well, the boat is in good condition. It looks pretty nice. I'll be posting them to the gallery once I get my gallery account.

It's good to be home.

Hey Steve, I have an anchor you can have, just pick up the shipping if it's not too much. It's the one from my old V20 - if you can use it your welcome to it.

Maco, I was torn. First, I had already given the guy half the money as a down payment. I don't know if I would've been able to get much, if any, back. :-/ Second, the boat still looked good to me even though it was two years older than I thought. Third, after driving a thousand miles and spending all that money on gas, I figured I'd be worse off coming home without it. Lastly, as you all know too well, she's a V20. :P She's the first one I've seen in person and once I saw her, I fell for her. I love the shape of these boats! I couldn't leave her there, I had to take her home with me.

I don't blame you!! Lie I said there is not one V20 on this board that has not needed something!!
And if all you had to do is add tires, you are one lucky man!!

Don't sweat it!! Its all yours now!! and there will be alot more money to spend before its over!! ;)

When I bought mine the tires also needed replacing as well as the brakes being redone. Thats what you get when you buy used. Good luck! Bill Mc ;D
