20-24 foot center console for under 30k

Hey guys, if one of you were to consider buying a NEW boat, what wuold you consider buying if price were a consideration. Under 30 k lets say

Would have to shop and see what deals are out there and decide what specifically I wanted the boat to do. There are a bunch of well desigend and built CC's out there now. Just went to the boat shows and it would come down to personal preference and price.
One boat I would definetly be considering I actually had the pleasure to fish on a few months ago, Mckee Craft CC's with a 4stroke 150. Sweet rig.
If I was looking to fish in deep water regulary I would take that money and buy a two or three year old top line well outfitted 4 stroke Regulator for example or something similar.JMHO

as Willy said, the Mckee 196 Marathon (Franco's boat) would be on my short list. Under 30k won't give you many options over 20'.

I'd also give strong consideration to a cat hull. Look into Twin Vee's 19' Baycat or Caracal cats.

Oh, and there's the 22 Panga's. We are going to see a lot of these around soon. More and more companys are starting to produce them. For not too much over 30k you can into a 26'.

Another is Seaking form Kencraft. The 20' is under 30k, the 21' is over.

Even If money were not an object I myself would never buy a new one unless it was something so specialized that you could not find it used somewhere . There are lots of like new boats with very low hours sitting in storage that are 4 or 5 years old with hardly any use that you can get a great deal on. I bought an Albemarle 27 a few years back from an estate sale in Key Largo that was 6 years old and still had the break in oil in the motors, stabil in the tanks, plastic on the seats and had been drystacked and only on the water for 56 engine hours. The old guy got sick and laid up and his wife hated boating (and him) , he died, the kids lived in New York and were not interested etc etc etc. Used hurricane boats are of course another matter and I would be very careful and get a complete marine survey..Frank

If I ever considered buying a boat in that price range, I would be divorced or be fish food. Oh yes dear, I'll get off the computer now and do the dishes and fold the wash :'( :'( :'(

Well for $30 G's there isn't much!! I guess if I had the money I would restore the V20 complete and use the extra cash for hooter girls ;D

Look at used boats. If the hull is structurally sound, you can always repower. New boats lose their vaule too quickly you can never move to a new boat without losing big cash!!! If money was no object I wouldn't be looking at under $30.000.

Another new boat is Maycraft, good solid boats. The 20 is definately under 30k. The 23CC with 225 Yammie 4s on bracket, t-top, hyd. steering, gal. trailer is 33K at Ed's.

I been mulling this over for a while...I want to go fishing, and I have a house to renovate, I just dont have time to restore this boat..I want to go fishing, did I mention that I want to go fishing

Mirage what u got to do to yours to go fishing, You don't got to do a full restore to fish brother \
You do a full restore and a complete wax job if you are interested in looking good like MJ.
