Default My First Boat

Well, after seeing MJ's posting about his first boat, the original MacoJoe, I was inspired to start a new thread complete with pictures of my first love - Cash Money. *Ya'll have heard me talk about Cash before, and you will probably hear more if you stick around. *

In loving memory: *Cash, you will never be forgotten! *Rest in peace ol girl. *Dam I miss you!

MJ, looks like you and I had a similar "humble" beginning:

1968 17' Popcraft by Thunderbird
1975 70hp Evinrude ('81 powerhead *;D)

Feast your eyes on all that fishin room!!

Come on guys...lets see those starter boats. You know you had something like this before your V20 - admit it!

Wish I had some pics...V20 replaced a '67 T-Bird...had the "pi$$in' trough" gunwales like yours, but less "pointed" bow...w/a hand-held GPS we took 'er 35 mi. outta Charleston to fish a wreck we had some numbers for...good day til less than 10 mi. out blew up and got REAL nasty...wave came over windshield and took hat off my head :o...big ol' bow did 'er job, lucky for us ::)...

Hope you don't mind me doing this MJ....

I decided to go get MJ's post from Hammer's "Should I..." post just to get it all in one place. Here it is straight from the big guy himself, and I quote:

Here is a pic of the oringal MacoJoe.

1964 Hawkline 17' 1990 Merc 90 hp

I learned with this boat that names suck!! when they see you there everyday they jump right in on your drift, cause they no can find fish on there own!!

So I have never put anything on my Maco2 cause of that.

But this was a nice pic my friend made up for me.

This is Eric and his son, right after he got the Name on, Shark came later

I'm starting to see a trend. All of us guys that started out in dual consoles with full windshields have the V-20 cuddy. It seems we've been spoiled by the wind protection qualities and will never go center console (unless it is in addition to our cuddy model ;))
