Hi Fish,
Take it back, your boat's too pretty to be puttin' that stuff on her ;) Seriously though. Are you planning on keeping her in the water for a length of time? If not, keep that paint off her. There was a previous thread on this topic not very long ago and I think most of us would give you the same advice. Of course, you may already know all of this and you may simply be asking about the paint itself. If that's the case, then I have no comment b/c I've never used it...

Only for the season?...for what you're probably payin' for the paint and all the grief puttin' it on, you could have the bottom proffessionaly cleaned when you haul her out at season's end... ;) ;D...paint's for bottoms gonna be slipped ALL the time... 8)...

if you have no chose tha n go with a ablative paint it will come off by its self
but putting paint on a clean hull like yours is going to kill me i wouldnt do it how about a rack for the season they put it in and they take it out when you come back see i have a 78 with paint on her but cant decide what to do i trailer mine and you dont see it in the water the bottom makes the boat look bad but the topside is nice so think about it reel hard

Mj, I've wondered that, too ???...I guess the crap in the paint just won't go white no matter what they mix it with... ::)...
I understand bottom paint for big boats, but a 20'er is just too easily pulled out and cleaned to be painted...a painted bottom's gotta be maintained, too... ;)...

maco, they do make a white bottom paint... i forget who makes it but i thought about white. believe me when i say nothing will hurt me more than slapping paint on this virgin beauty but we are slipped at the very end of a stagnant canal and the fouling is incredible. i have weighed all the feasable options carefully and have come up with only one solution... paint her up and hope one day i can strip her down when im ready to trailer. and the stuff costs $190 a gallon so it must be good.
