Default Photos of my 84'

Here are the pics of my 84 V20. these are the ones sent to me by the guy I bought it from. Haven't got any new ones yet.

Added a Icom 422, Guide posts, overhauled the trim pump, made a removable gunwale bait board, and added latches to the rear jump seats.

Want to do lots more but in due time.

Neat boat. If anything were to happen to that motor I would seriously look for something 150 and up and there are a lot of big two strokes out there with guys upgrading to 4 strokes....I saw a 99 yammie 200 a while back for $3,ooo that only had around 400 hours on it...IT looked like new...Frank

Hey Maco, Thanks for the tip on photobucket I will try it in this reply. As to the 90hp, with a 13.75 x 17 prop it will turn 4600 - 4800 and do 20 to 22 mph. Switched to a 14 x 17 prop rpms dropped to 3800-4100 but speed went up to 30 mph, Can anyone tell me why this happed, is it using torque instead of hp. They called this motor the tower of power and I see what they mean. Little hard to start but runnnnnnnns for ever when it does. If it were to start giving to much trouble I have in mind a 140 upto a 200 in mind. If new it will be in the 140 range dollars wise, but if I felt good about a used one it would be in the 200 range.

Heres tring the IMG link from photobucket,

90 hp doing 30 mph on a V20, I would not be complaining!!

150 hp should be about the best all around motor on these boats.

But as you see with you, we have from 90 hp to 225 hp!!

I had a 165 I/O and it did about what you are getting now.

I converted to a O/B via a bracket and added a 175 and enjoyed 40+ on flat days.

But for right now I am docked for awhile as i blew the motor, which is a long long story!!!!!!

I am hoping the tax man will be good to me and that the winter is mild so I might be able to get something in the spring??
