Default Had to let them go

Me and SP went out 1-11-07 and tried some fishing even though it didn't look to promising. It blew two days before so the water was stirred up pretty good not to mention it was 26 degrees when I woke that morning.

Headed out around the concrete ships and drifted a few eels. After a couple of hours and two missed fish, there he was, ZINNNNNNNNNNNG goes the drag. All hooked up and fighting my first rock, my blood was pumping. Think now, you have been taught by one of the best fishermen on the Shore, let the drag do its job, keep the line tight, wind down and pull up.

After what seemed 30 minutes, he finally shows him self, just off from the boat, silver flash and Zinnnnnnnng there he goes again. He walked me up one side of the boat and down the other, under the bow and around the motor. Finaly he is tired and gets closer to the boat, Holy cr*p thats a big fish. I bring him close and SP gets him in the net.

Being so excited we forgot to measure this one.

After getting rebaited and the lines over, I was still excited about that fish that I did not hear the drag pouring off the reel right next to me. "There he is, stick him" Says SP. I grab the rod and do as I was taught and again, ZINNNNNNNNNNG. this one fought harder but was smaller then the first. We measure this one at 44 Inches but did not weigh.

These were the only two caught that day but what nice fish they were, especially considering my first.

I have told him many times that day but I want to say it again, Thanks Shore Power for a trip to remember.
