Default bimini enclosure

;DHello all, another newbie here. I have an 84 V20 Cuddy in SE Mass. I've been looking for a bimini enclosure to keep the water off of me on those wet days. Anyone know where I can find one. Thanks.

Welcome, Mario.

You can find one in my gallery, but it's not 4 sale. It was original equipment from my boats original/former owner.

Sailboat will sell you his new enclosure for $19,900. ;) He'll also throw in a V21 and a 4-stroke 150 hp Yamaha and some other cool toys. ;D

Seriously, check out Sailboats 4sale post - maybe he can put you in touch with his canvas guy.

marioc11, welcome to the site. Good to have another MA member here. Where abouts are you located. I know of a good canvas guy here in Scituate that has done some work for me in the past for reasonable $$

SeaKindly,
Thanks for the info, however the wife would not be happy with a new toy. I'm still paying off the Fatboy.

Chumbucket,
I'm in Taunton. I'm familiar with the Scituate boat ramp. Any ballpark figure on the cost? <$1000?

Thanks.

marioc11, He's on the Driftway in Scituate at James Landing Marina. Atlantic Coast Canvas. He has a small shop upstairs in the Scituate Yacht Co. Building. I could try to get an idea from him. I'll be over that way tomorrow so I'll stop in and chat with him a bit. He usually looks for some off season work and may be able to do a bit better on the price.
I'll get back to you.

Thank you very much chumbucket. I could drop it off whenever he's ready, if the price is reasonable.

chums

i talked to the guy at Atlantic today. He gave me a rough price of $3200. A little steep for me right now.

He took my name and # in case someone shows up with one for sale.
Thanks again.

Yeah, I just talked to him again myself and thought that was a bit steep as well. Don't know what else to suggest. In my gallery pics, near the end are some shots of my buddy's '83 cuddy with an enclosure he made himself. He started with a standard Bimini top and purchased the Eisenglass PVC from Saftler's Fabric Shop here in Whitman, MA. Matter of fact, he bought all the supplies from them including snaps, edging material, they even let him borrow the snap tool to install them with. All said and done, he spent around $550 including the Bimini with supports.
The only thing I would have done a bit different would have been to use a Bimini just a bit shorter in length. You have to be aware of it when casting.

Hey CB ... just curious ... is your buddy computerphobic? How come he doesn't log on and say hello?
