Rectifier /voltage regulator

Question. When I look up a voltage regulator a rectifier come up. Is it the same thing? Cause I do hav3 a square box on top that’s a voltage regulator..

I think we covered this in another thread. Rectifier is usually used on ;ow amp charging systems, regulator is used on higher amp systems
