Default Wake up the fishing section

Went out today for a couple of hours. Had to replace the IAC valve on motor last week and wanted to test it out. All ran good, so decided to wade fish for a couple of hours. Caught 4 speckled trout, this one was the last one and perfect size for 2 people. Florida slot size is 15-20 inches, this one was 18 1/2.

thanks G. What makes these so fun is catching them in about 18 inches of water on live bait. Small spinning reel with 20 lb braid and 15 lb leader.

Nothing like light gear to make fish “bigger” and more fun to catch.

So true, scook. I love to live bait with braid. You can feel every little wiggle of the bait.

Was using chofers, AKA pinfish bout 1"-1.5". Catch em on the flats with a cast net.

That sounds like a lot of fun. I envy the variety of fish/fishing you guys have. I think there are a lot more opportunities out here that I need to get acquainted with, but I think you’re in fishing heaven there. I love seeing your pictures.
