Default 2001 115 Yamaha…..

Ok, change on the change on the change on the change. 1992 V20 with a 2001 115 Yamaha. It doesn’t look like a 4 stroke, but what do I know?!? How fast (or slow) will this motor push the boat? I think I might have a deal on this one. It seems a bit underpowered to me, but I’ve seen a few of them here with a 115 on the back. What kind of performance numbers can I expect out of this combination?
I need a quick answer. I’m about to crack open my piggy bank and cash out this weekend.

Depends on what prop. Talk to the owner, he should be able to tell you numbers with current prop.

Propped for a decent hole shot, my guess on top end would be high 20's to 30. Sure you could get better top end with a different prop but the hole shot is going to suffer (and vice-versa).

Nobody wants to have to ask their whole crew to step to the front of the boat just to plane off.

Unfortunately, the boat is on consignment and I won’t be dealing with the owner. Honestly, I figure if I can get a top end around 30th mph…. I’d be satisfied. Also, being it’s a newer hull, I would consider it a candidate for a repower down the road.

nice boat, solid motor(although small). If you can find what pitch prop is on it, you can figure out what speed it will run, or close to it. considering the market right now, and what comes with the boat, looks like a solid deal

Hull looks super clean, hard to tell for the pics provided. Was this boat kept in the water all it***8217;s life? Does the kicker come with it? How s the trailer look? Single axel or dual? Bunk or roller? Inspect bilge very close and take it for a ride.

That engine is on the slight side. But ok. Very reliable V 4. Easy to work on

I d check compression and lower unit oil

Not a bad price

Ok. Back from looking at the boat. Hard to give it a thorough once over as it’s shrink wrapped. From what I saw, the deck seems solid. Not rock solid, but way far from needing any attention. Transom was rock solid. For some reason, the kicker had growth. Not bad, but I’m wondering why anybody would leave the kicker in the water. Aluminum prop with a bit of a ding. Can absolutely be fixed. Couple layers of paint on the hull. Not a ton. My wife wants to dock it and I want to trailer. Yes, it would be easier and more convenient but I’m looking to prolong the life of this one. Even in the shrink wrap bubble, no fuel smell whatsoever. That’s gotta be good news. Missing one fish box insert. I fully expected that. All in all, a decent boat at a decent price. I don’t know why, but standing between the seats up front, it just seemed so small. Not at all like my last one. I’m not 100% if it comes with electronics or not. The guy said it comes with everything I see. I’m gonna mention the add shows a picture of a box of a plotter. I can’t really see anything that would make it a bad deal. Not the most beautiful trailer. Smaller bunk trailer, but looks like it’ll get the job done. We’re gonna run it this week and do a compression test on both motors. If it checks out, I don’t see a reason not to pull the trigger.
