Gonna try to score this this weekend. Gonna show the guy $5K. I don’t know much about these. Looks like part of the middle of the road, skiff family.
Anybody?

Look well made, nice no frills fishing boat. Hard to tell, looks like it might be 3 piece construction

Used to do a lot of diving off of one of those, good ride, lots storage in deck. Biggest complaint was u had to climb over windshield to throw the anchor. There is a hatch in the cabin u could use, but a pain to use. Hulls were built in Nashville Georgia, not the best quality. Check the fuel tank compartment for any gas smell.
Also take a good look at the shift shaft turnbuckle on that motor, i think that is the one that had corrosion issue. |

Well, it turns out the cape craft is still available. I’m gonna look at it tomorrow. My friend found it on Craigslist and it said $8K, very negotiable. I’m gonna show up with a couple hundred in my pocket and tell him I’ll take it right now for $3,500. We’ll see just how very negotiable he is. I’ll keep you guys posted.

So I just came from looking at the boat. First thing I notice, it’s listing to port. Stringers must be waterlogged. As I plan on trailering, that’s not a big concern. The deck seems pretty solid. No soft spots. There was a bit of give when standing up on the bow/casting platform. I think that’s more me weighing in at 275. There’s a bit of delamination at the transom, but again, not a big concern. I would have a metal plate made and keep it on the trailer.
Spare, the motor is original to the boat. 2002 150 merc two stroke. Sounds nice. I’m figuring 1,000 hours. I told him I take it right now for $3,500. He said he won’t go lower than $4,500. He leaves, comes back about a half hour later when my buddy takes off. I told him I’ll be back first thing in the morning with $3,500. He comes back with $5,000. I said good luck, and drove away. It hurt me to drive away because I might have gotten it for $4,000. I think the motor is worth a good $3,000. Needs A ton of nickel and dime sh!t and a ton of cleaning. He’s getting a lot of traffic on it, but no cash in hand.

Yeah, you’re asking the right one. I don’t know sh!t about these motors. I’ve always had I/Os.
