Question Think it might be over?

I see the sites been quiet for a while, so I figured I will say something. Our Black fishing season starts in 10 day's, my favorite and none of us will be heading out. All the boats have been taken out early, well the two that have actually got wet, the third never hit the water.
Good luck out there and remember the

3 Rules of Fishing
Bait your own hook

Clean your own fish
Tell your own lies

BE SAFE!!!!!

Cool

Actually, I was going to make a similar comment about the site being quiet. I think a large part of it has to do with the China virus sweeping the Country and keeping a lot of the people that would normally be out boating and fishing at home. It kinda sucked the wind out of the whole summer boating season. (At least for us "older" folk who are more at risk to the virus). Lets hope and pray for everyone's sake that the vaccine(s) are developed swiftly and safely and that next years season will be a banner year.

I'm still here. I dont post as much as I used to, but still come by to check the latest. Facebook groups have taken their toll on many group websites, our local Charleston Fishing.com was once on the biggest fishing websites on the East Coast, but its a far cry from that now. One thing people are finding out, facebook groups don't have the archive that website groups do. I think they will gain popularity again as FB has just turned into botch sessions on politics

Great point about the FB sites taking away large amounts of visitors. There is a Wellcraft V20 site that I know many of the members here are members there also. (Myself included) I don't see anything really wrong with being a member of both groups but it does seem like a few members here are almost exclusively there now. I keep asking myself if there's a reason for it? In all cases I hope this site stays up. There is a HUGE amount of knowledge here, both in the members and in the archives for anyone that needs it.

Still alive and well here in north Florida. Haven t been out much in the last month, seems like we re having hurricanes every other weekend. We ve been on the northeast quarter of both the storms that hit Lake Charles and Gulf Shores. Our water looks like chocolate milk.

This should be prime pompano and king mackeral season right now, but another hurricane is hitting Louisiana Mississippi this weekend. So it s Rinse & Repeat.

I m not complaining, those poor guys west of us are getting hammered this season. Coming up on the 2 year anniversary of Michael, don t want to go thru that again

One day I ll catch a fish and I will post a picture, I promise

Still alive here in NJ too....seems like I took a couple years off. Been working on a backyard project for I don't know how long and just haven't been boating....finally getting the cob webs out. I am going to post some pics of a new cover I got. Amazingly if you search covers on here there are numerous posts about winter covers with tarps and pool covers but very little on a fit cover. There was one comment but I can't remember by who mentioning empire covers. Fits great. Definitely good point about Facebook...

So glad you mentioned Empire Covers. I had not heard of them, but I went to their website and discovered that they are having a huge sale.

I just got a 1200 denier nylon cover for my V20, with an add-on of a center support pole for $249 delivered!.

They say the prices are 1/2 off and then 15% more if you use the code "NEWYEAR".

My supplier for all of my previous covers (boat covers direct) wants substantially more than that for a V20 cover, so this sale seems like a bargain to me! :-)
