Default Bought last month - this board helped make the decision!

Hi everyone - we are the proud new owners of a 1983 V20 Steplift Cuddy purchased on Ebay from someone within 2 hrs driving distance from us in FL.

We caught the auction by accident and a quick google search for "Wellcraft V20" brought us straight here and after reading all your excellent posts, gave us the confidence that this boat will do everything we want from a boat right now.

The bones are pretty good on the hull, motor and trailer - just needs TLC all the way around as it's been USED but not CARED FOR. Haven't put it in water yet as the trailer needs a few rollers replaced and a new shifter cable needs installed (the seller provided the new cable)

1989 Johnson 200VRO starts and idle's fine, VRO was disabled / removed which is better. (we'd rather have a history of too much oil than not enough) He's going to pull the lower end and completely disassemble / inspect it before we put in water to be on the safe side. Maybe we'll have a video of a test drive in the ICW by next month?

Fingers crossed!!!!

Thanks and ttyl!

Thanks for noting Jack - I'll preach trim tabs to anyone and everyone for the V20/21.
Got to have them unless you run only on a little lake.
