Default 1999 wellcraft 210 sportsman or v20?

Im very interested in buying a v20 because of their reputation. But I saw a 1999 sportsman 210 that really interested me. The question is, is there a lot of difference in how the 2 boats handle rough water. I really love the bow flair of the v20's, but the dual console is the layout I really like also. The real deciding factor is which handles rough water better. If the ride is similar I may go with the sportsman. Any insight will be appreciated.

I have seen them and did like the layout, just do not see many around now. You said you liked the oldies, is that for looks or performance?

Looks, I like more of an old school setup as well.

I'll take Marilyn Monroe over Miley Cyrus.

Did Wellcraft go to a Eurotransom by 1999...if so I always thought a terrible waste of cockpit space, particularly on a 20' boat...and what is deadrise on the 1999 210?...the V20 is 19* if I remember correctly...that will be a consideration of ride quality...

But I'm with you on dual console layouts...

Dual console is the way to go. Plenty of space for fishing and a lot of storage. Its gotta be the best boat ever made! but I don't know anything about the 210.

The 99 210 is a eurotransom, so you lose over 2 feet of deck space right there. The v20 isa 20 degree hull with alot of bow flare and sharp entry to slice waves. The 210 is a modern low dead rise design meant to ride over the waves instead of through. The 210 will be a much shallower draft hull compared to the v20, and I imagine would do better with lower hp. Its pretty much an apples vs oranges comparison.
