Default Trailer hub rear seal question

Stuck in there quite tight............ what's the trick to removing without risking damage to outer bearings and race ?

Wouldn't have a vice on the road to set it up, and pry out .

I've pried them out with a claw hammer and/or channel lock pliers before.

To make it easier (I saw someone post this...not my idea) mount the hub in your spare tire first and sit it on the ground. Put you weight on the tire and then pry the seal out.
