Default Fishing around New Bern

Well, went out today in the blustery wind to try and bloody the decks with whatever bites the hook. I crossed the Neuse river and headed up Broad Creek to get out of the wind. After awhile I landed a 12" speck. The Frayed Knot has finally landed a fish ;D Anywho, there were tons of gar around, big'uns too. I fished a little longer and landed what I think is a silver perch, about the size of a good crappie. No pics, I was fishing by myself and wasn't too keen on getting fish slime on the camera.

Frayed, congrats on a little slime, but let me tell ya, your a lucky man. You see, The Hammer doesn't pay much attention to our feeshin section, so you may just get away with this infraction against picture code ;D

Whew! I'd hate for hammer-time to happen due to my selfishness ;) Gonna try again tomorrow, maybe if I get lucky, I can snap a pic or three.
