Default for a change of pace

Went up to my parents place in Sneads Ferry NC the week before. I'm trying to use the place more and have been up there several times this year. I left the McKee there for the year. Last time I was up there I finally got to do something I haven't done in a long time. Go sailing!

I used to race these things when I was much younger. Been a long time. Unfurtunatly the wind wasnt cooperating

got a little gurgle outof the rudders

barely got enough wind to flutter the sail

still a lot of fun. WHen the wind blows good, I've gotten 24-27 knts out these things. Planning on taking the family up there over labor day. I'll post up pictures. Hope to drag the SeaRay up with me for the weekend

He is just showing his seamanship prowess. That thing will fly with a good wind.

Ive been 103 mph on the water in a 18ft tunnel hull and I'll tell you one of these Isotope Sailboats are just as much fun and just as exciting in a good wind. In the wind I has in the pictures, not much so.

It doesn't matter the size nor speed it is all relative. 25 on a lawnmower is fast. 50 on water is like 80. I really thought those hydrofoil sails in the last Cup were a technological wonder. They are faster than my Wellcraft and that is in perfect conditions(Wellcraft) to their hope the wind picks up a couple more knt attitude... Those craft accelerate insanely as they transition into full hydrofoil action. If all goes well anyways. I have never done much sailing. A day at the lake with a Hobie cat and very little wind has been my personal experience.

i always wanted a sail boat, windsurfer, surfboard, flats boat,wellcraft v20, & a 31 Bertram
ended up with 2
that way i'm covered for all wind conditions.

we had a little amf sunfish when i was growing up, fun, but made me want a 13 whaler even more.
