Default zink in foot

the bolt that holds it is stuck. feels like it will snap off. question is does the bolt go all the way thru zink and back in to foot at the top or does bolt just go into the zink?. so if the bolt snaped off would be able to just remove zink and replace zink and new bolt?

On my Yamaha there's a little rubber cap on top you pop out and the bolt goes down into the trim tab. So if you were to snap the bolt the worst case scenario would be to get a new trim tab/bolt.
