Happy Father's Day
My Father's Day fishing trip went fine, thanks for asking!
The tow boat operator was really nice and did not take too long to come get us... Something did not quite sound right. Glanced at the dash...in time to see the oil pressure dropping to 0. Next to it, the temperature gauge was doing its best to average things out by climbing as high as it could go. So I shut it down. As I turned around, it was in time to see the oily sheen spreading from the bilge discharge. The bilge discharge was getting darker and darker. So I turned the bilge off...no sense polluting the lake any more than it already is. Opened up the motor box....the bilge is holding all of the oil that engine should have been holding. Checked the dipstick...yep...nothing. Added the three quarts of oil that I had onboard into the engine. Waited for the temperature to come down. (this is when I caught a large catfish) Hit the key...click...motor will not turn over. TowBoatUSA was very nice to deal with. Got me into the marina with no issues. So, I get to learn about my rebuild/repower options... Research starts now... Hope you guys had a more productive day than I did. But I still had a nice boat ride with my son and wife!

Man...Sorry to hear that. What year hull, and type of engine/outdrive?
