Default 1985 V20 Center Console Project For Sale

SOLD

Also posted this in Boats for Sale/Wanted ::

It is with a heavy heart that I type this post. Due to many issues, I am selling my V. The boat is a 1985 Fisherman 20 that originally had a sea drive. That has been removed and the sea drive holes filled, faired, and primered. I had all of the bottom paint removed via soda blast and have painted the bottom of the hull up to about the stripe area white. The remainder of the outside of the boat had a few small scratches filled and primed, and was going to get painted the same as the bottom. The plans were for a stainless marine bracket with a 1989 2.0 mariner 150 (both of which will also be for sale). The boat sits on a 1989 Load Rite single axle galv trailer. trailer has been repainted, new hardware, u bolts, metal brake line, new double bow blocks, reflectors, has a power winch installed and comes with a new mast cylinder (not installed yet). The center console was removed, sanded and repainted and is in my garage covered up.

I am posting this to see if there is anyone who would be interested in taking over where I left off on this great boat. I live in the Pocono Mts. PA area, near the Pocono Raceway if you are NASCAR fan.

Along with the boat will be all of the items I have accumulated over the years for this project. They will be for sale as I have the time to dig things out and list them.

The boat and trailer need to go first as I need the room.

If you are seriously interested, let me know. I do not know what I have invested in it so far, and for my sanity I don't want to add it up. You can look at my old posts for pics, and I believe I have a gallery of what the boat looked like when I bought it.

If the above interests you, shoot me a message. Currently the boat is not listed for sale anywhere but here.

Hope you guys are killing the stripers !!!

Brad

well, no replies yet, but a few views ...

what are these "projects" going for these days? Opinions welcomed. I think most of the hard work is done, but i guess it depends on how you look at it.

Isn't the fun part putting it all back together??

if your serious about selling, your going to have put up some prices. if it were closer, i'd go have a look at it. all taken apart, i'd think your looking at $1200- $1500 for all of it.

course, i'm in north florida, prices up north will vary.

My V was a project, fresh stringers, gas tank and floor all glassed and done well but no paint on floor and a rock solid transom... no controls or motor and no wiring sitting on a very nice aluminum trailer.... it was advertised for a month on c/l as free boat, trailer $700... I said I'd take the boat but not the trailer and he said ok come get it....

YMMV as you have a lot of extras but there's one example for ya

thanks for the replies .. i did not want to scare anyone away from the boat project by pricing it right away .. i am aware that i have more invested than i am going to get out of it. I have to move the boat out of here, so i am open to offers. In my mind I was at the lower end of what phatdaddy posted. Most likely, the amount of the offer will dictate what parts go with the boat and which stay with me to be sold off separate.

Smoke, did you get that boat for free or $700 ??? Sounds like you stole it either way.

Unfortunately, free I can't do.

the fact that it's a full transom center console will add value. i would put the bracket and center console on the hull and sell with trailer, list the motor separate.

just need to find someone that was thinking of getting into a project like this. I would think that $1000 for the boat with the trailer would be a fair price at this point, no? the console of course would go with the boat. I would not include the bracket at this price though. Like I said, I have a ton of parts for this build .. new gauges, new alum trailer rims and tires, new fishmaster folding t top, etc ... boat goes first, then all the goodies.

the trailer alone has to be worth $400-$500 with the new parts on it I would imagine...

or then maybe i am clueless .. thats what my daughters say anyway
