hello everyone,
I have recently purchased a mercury 9.9 horsepower 2 stroke with electric start runs great All so A geralick kicker motor bracket. And a easy steer system. does anyone have a similar setup and how fast do you get going. |

It should be able to get you close to hull speed which should put you around 6-8MPH or so I would think.

I have a 9.8 Merc kicker on an ezin bracket. 7mph on my GPS on Lake Hopatcong. You're right on the money Ferm.

My set up was all two stroke cause I pre mixed, electric start with power to the kicker. 7-8 mph on gps. dropped the kicker steered with main engine.
One note the newer motors can troll at lower rpms than older carb motors. Always nice having a second motor though. |
