Buy a floor hatch and take the door latch off it/ They are the same latch.

I just replaced mine! I ordered from boatoutfitters.com. I went a little overboard and ordered the teak doors with stainless handle - white aluminum frame. Birthday gift to myself. They also come in starboard white, which i suspect look great and more like the original white.

I wanted them to match my dash and captains chair. I just started applying the varnish this weekend.

Thumbs up

I like those doors Buckley, thinking about putting something like that for access to the deck drains/scuppers.

That's a very good idea.

If you know of a hatch with the same latch as my 96' V transom oil tank door............ please steer me to it, because I haven't found.

Let me look at my receipts. Cause mine are the same, and mine are all new. Now all I have to do is find them (receipts)

I think you are out of luck B, sorry. No choice but to sell the boat. j/k

Worst case scenario you could get two matching closures and replace both. P/O replaced both my hatches (and round deck hatches) and below is the type of closures they have. Yours the same? Google search "Flush Slam Latch" , switch to image view and you'll see lots of different types to choose from.

I believe the orginal latch is just the " ring handle" that fit into the recess in the actual door with the catch on the back side. Appreciate the assistance, let me know, thank you.

These are for the V21 transom doors- not floor hatches.
