Completed the job this past weekend:
1. Removed both helm and port front seats. Helm seat was bear of job.........drilling out the base bolts etc. 2. Fabricated and painted new bases from Azek board 3. Intalled the base boards, and new Gareleck low profile swivel units with the original chairs. Both seats can now swivel and move forward / back. Will likely send pics to Destroyer or other to post for me. ( or maybe I'll finally get it figured out ) A few more projects to finish and the boat should be sitting completely ready to fish. Gareleck appeared to be the original equipment used by Wellcraft for the 96' V21. It's the source I was able to find for LOW PROFILE - not requiring pedestal so seats are not too high up. Didn't want to be like the character " JAWS " in the James Bond movie - with head sticking up out of car moon roof. Or was that a Burt Reynolds movie ? |

Yeh that's right laugh. Those pedestals on a V would be like a giraffe in a row boat .

Right - JAWS in a V21 sitting up on a pedestal seat. Head and shoulders sticking above the windshield.
Hey JAWS - nice V you got there - watch your head going under the Varranzano Bridge. |
