24M7 Deka, 1000MCA I sell probably 25-30 of these a year, I've had two go bad because they were run all the way down and left down for over two months, otherwise, you can't beat them. BTW West marine sells the same battery for $45 more than a Deka dealer

I also like DEKA 24 series batterys , But Up here in NEW ENGLAND I now use INTERSTATE batterys, 1) 27 series cranking and 1) 24 series deep cycle . with another older (charged battery) on board just in case ,I have had very good luck with them over 3 years . But I maintain them all with a solar charger , just my 2cents

Cool

I use 24's. Completely agree with Spare on the Deka batteries. 1000 MCA of brute force is hard to argue with. I got mine from BJ's wholesale club (Like Costco or Sam's Club) They had the best prices around here. Both my v's have them and I've not had any problems, ever, with them. My only exception is on my 12' rowboat that I have an electric trolling motor on. I use an Optima Bluetop deep cycle battery for that one.

Thanks for your preferences. I decided to go with 2 AGM 24 size from Cabelas. Today is the last day of their sale. Billy Mac
