Default What's your winter " to do" list for the V ?

Besides the winterizing and trailer hub re packing, I've just got a few ideas:

1. Convert front port seat from fixed facing forward to swivel.

2. Enhance snaps on side curtains to avoid risk of flapping / tearing when trailering.

3. caulk bottom of hull rub rail -because I believe it's a possible source of water intrusion
when waves are banging up against the hull.

4. re install cuddy door lock, and move hinge/door hook in to catch just a little easier.

...........and maybe some other things.

Talking

Change the spin on fuel filter. (The old one is getting a bit corroded) The new one has a petcock on the bottom to release any accumulated water.

Go to a dual battery system on the V21. Right now it's just a single and I like the idea of a second battery. Investigate a solar panel recharging system and see if it's feasible.

Upgrade the front bilge pump from a 750 to a 1200. (The main is a 2000).

Choke on the cost of an enclosure for the V21 and decide to get one "next year" .

Switch from Bourbon to Rum.

This. Except they're both perpetually on my "to drink" list, along with egg nog (home made) for the next few weeks.

I have to figure out why the ol' PD is listing to port. As soon as we get through the holidays. And the egg nog.

Lathehand, thanks for the info. Unfortunately that unit is no longer available. Not to worry, the panels themselves are relatively cheap. My question was did they put out enough to keep a battery charged, and you answered that with your comment about using one for years. So again, thank you for the info.

Whups.... Guess it's still available if you enter the correct info.... it's a 1.5 watt solar panel, not a 15 watt. My bad. Actually, that unit looks like a good thing to use for my garden tractors and some other items that sit for long periods of time. Reading the reviews it's great at maintaining a fully charged battery. I may just buy a few of them. Again, thanks for the link :
