Interesting that the first pic in the ad has mid 80's style stripes, second pic has no stripes.

that's funny... he thinks his $500 trailer is worth "more than $2500" lol
doesn't even have rub rail... lower unit probably trashed... I'd say he needs to lower the price several more times..... If it interests you give him most of the winter to sit on it and offer $500 around the end of February |

good catch RM ... also in the second pic there appears to be a stainless rubrail and the wood rails for the hatch look to be white plastic... two different boats?

its not a dual console eaither! Also in the 70's the top cap slanted down right after the seats.

hard to tell, but from the pics, that motor looks like a V6 mercury. An 85 merc would be a 3 cylinder or an old inline. The top of the cowl doesn't look like either. The stripes are the same as my 79(first pic), but the cap doesn't taper at the seats like mine(second pic)

I'm ALWAYS suspicious of any person that uses the line "My loss is your gain". It may be true, but more likely it's a dealer looking to make a quick sale. In all cases an 85 HP engine is just NOT going to cut it for that boat. I seriously doubt it will even get it up on plane. Certainly not fully loaded with people, food, ice, fuel, etc. So you have to presume that the engine will need to be replaced, not repaired.
The stripes are the same as the ones on my V20, which is a 1978, not a 1977. As for the trailer, he does say that the one in the pics is not the one that goes with the boat, so I'll give him a "bye" on that one.... And yes, I've seen and have owned dual axle trailers with a tilt feature on them. The one I owned had a crank and a long lead screw that would raise the front of the boat trailer about a foot higher than stern of the trailer. Not terribly useful for launching, but it was pretty good when the boat was stored to help with the rain water drainage.

The second Pic is a boat launch in Oakland Ca. The trailers are different, and there is a rub rail on the second boat.
I thisnk these must be "representative" Photos. HA!
