Great day, light fog kept it cool and calm seas so I could zip up the beach.
Trolled up a double headed short and keeper striper at 1st light. Then it was all gator blues of various sizes to 16.5 lbs. Switched to SeaBass and found a bite inshore. Nice quiet anchor fishing with non stop action on mostly small fish, but managed about 10 keeper SeaBass. Note on trailering - I've been launching and retrieving without submerging my wheels since I bought the new tandem axle roller trailer. It works fine, and hopefully, less maintainance without salt water intrusion issues. I put the tires in to just below the rear hub and that's as far as needed. |
