Default ideas ??

getting ready to bring the boat project (center console) and start working on her again in fall/winter. had a pole barn put up and now want to be inside making some progress. i would like to get the boat off the trailer and set on wheeled dollies of some sort to push into the garage ... doors are not wide enough (i think) for the trailer to fit inside the garage .. any ideas on dollies? or easiest way to get off the trailer onto these dollies?

Bigger doors would be simpler & may be cheaper. You could build a frame easy enough, out of wood or steel & put wheels or casters under it, but that won't be cheap.

Could a boat forklift pick it up & set it inside the door onto braces?

I'd get a tape measure & see if I could make it fit,

or borrow a narrower trailer for a day to get it in?

I had a pole barn built & specified 10 foot on center between the poles. My contractor changed it to 10 between the poles, said it would allow me to put in standard doors & it was just 8 inches per bay. Every time I back my boat in I thank him 8 inches less & I'd have to cut trees to make it.

Good luck, let us know what you do.
