Default Johnson VRO 150 identification help needed

I have learned in my other thread the "introduced" thing but can't find a tag on the motor. I believe it's around a 90 model. Anyone know where i should be looking. The motor was recently rebuilt and I'm wondering if the tag got removed. If so is there any other way to find out what I have.

Look for the welsh plug.
This is off a 50 horse.

This is where it is on a 1985 150 horse.

post up a picture, were pretty good at identifying things by the pics. Take one with the cowl off as well, from all sides of the engine. The tag should be on the transom bracket, but they are known to fall off

Thanks guys I got the number off the plug. I found the id plate but its pretty corroded and can't read it but the plug says J150TXCOS which I've found out its a '85(CO) 25" shaft(X)tilt and trim electric start(T). Haven't figured out the S. maybe VRO Model??

From what I remember that year had the ability to use the VRO or/either dual fuel pumps. I had one, it had the VRO removed and an electric pump added. We removed the electric pump and installed two siphon pumps and premixed the fuel afterwards.
Picture of the fittings to go to the dual pumps.

Picture of the dual pumps installed.

I went through my stuff and found I had an "84 and not an "85 so there might be some dependencies between the two years.

Now I'm just lost. I've been told to ditch the self mixing and just premix. For all I know it might of already been done. I'll post some motor pics when
I get the boat home and maybe y'all can tell me what I got going on.

The likely hood is there to be able to use a VRO pump for the fuel pump only and premix and disconnect sensors to be able to do so.

The "S" is just a model run/suffix number...not really sure what this means, but found this info on a website:

"The very last letter indicates model run. It serves no purpose for the consumer, but should be included when giving information to a parts dealer."
