TIME magazine lies

Well TIME has resorted lies and propaganda, like any other news agency.
For some reason I thought better of them. Probably due to their historical aspect.
The 1/28/13 issue with Bloomberg, Biden and Giffords on the front cover, with the caption "The Gunfighters" written by Michael Scherer, was expected to be a one sided argument. Thought I might educate myself a little.
After scanning through the article I'm a little unsure of most of the figures but let it go. Then I get to the magazine/clip mistakes, now a world class writer for TIME can't be this ignorant. Then I see Giffords was shot in Phoenix, I felt this was incorrect and sure enough she was shot in Tucson.
Then I see a picture of a 40 round magazine with prices and "THERE ARE 600 ROUND MAGAZINES FOR AS LOW AS $25.95 ". Knowing this to be incorrect I research the "writers" information and find he is referring to an airsoft magazine. You know the BB guns that shoot little plastic balls.
I have no idea of the other discrepancies in the article, just closed it to go to the trash.
Well, the $5 for the article would have been better spent on toilet paper.
College educated people can't be this ignorant. Or do they feel their audience is that ignorant to believe them?

What does my government have in mind for me that I need to be disarmed for?

You know, I take that back about the writer Scherer.
He is as uniquely qualified to make decisions on federal laws as what Biden, Giffords, Bloomberg and the senators/congress that passed the deceased Brady Bill.
The lawmakers of that time could not make the magazine/clip distinction nor the purpose of a barrel shroud and other features that they did ban in the 10 year period.
They only knew "they had to do something".

Yes sir, you just funded the liberal movement when you bought that rag.. I agree with you 100% Tsubaki. College educated, I almost had to laugh at that one. The journalistic license needs to be revoked.

Anybody see Bill Maher this week? He made his case on why California should have a larger prescence in the Senate...

I guess requiring a federal permit/classification with background checks to be a journalist and maintain said permit would be an infringement of the 1st Amendment.

I have this argument with people at work quite often when the subject of gun control comes up. I ask them what is an assault rifle? Every single one says an AR-15. I ask them to give me another example of an assault rifle. No answer. So when I tell them that there is no such thing as an assault rifle and that is just media and liberal speak, they just roll their eyes and call me a gun freak.
These people need to look at the actual stats regarding gun violence. It is handguns that are illegally obtained being used in the overwhelming majority of gun related deaths.

They don't care about that CB, they also do not care about the facts. Such as air soft vs actual AR-15's.
They do not care about telling the truth, not what so ever.

We are watching a information campaign being conducted by the political and wealthy elite and their propaganda machine.
They are targeting the low information voters who are now the majority in this country.
That is the reason an absolute failure, liar, and criminal of a potus just got re-elected. And elected in the first place.

This is going to get much worse now, elimination of political dissent is already going on with targeting and marginalizing of anyone or group who disagrees with them using the media to do it.
It has happened many times in the historical past and we have a low information majority in this country that quite frankly could care less.

We are in a lot of trouble, we have a two party system we seemingly have not got the where with all to get out of and they are two sides of the same coin.

And while we are on the subject, DO NOT be fooled by a lot of the hype about requiring background checks being necessary in order to get a gun. This is nothing but a thinly veiled attempt at getting a national registery of gun owners. That way, if people like Diane Feinstein have their way, they will know who and where to go to when they are trying to confiscate your guns in the future.
