My name is Jay. I live in Norther Virginia and I'm the new owner of a 77 V20 CC and 74 V20 hull. I'm hoping to end up with one completely sound vessel and then address the other. Great site here. Been poking around for a few days.

Congratulations on owning one of the most versatile and well-designed hulls available. Show us what ya got so we can get an idea of what you are up against. A few us us are in the process of total rebuilds while others have been through the process multiple times.

Should I start with transom or wet foam and more than likely rotted stringers?

Glad you got her home. It was great to meet you. Guys, Jay is a super nice guy. You northern Vir guys help him get those two boats made into one. So yes Skools has met another of our great members.

OH MY GOD, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT, gas $3.57/gal. awesome.
I would start with the transom, once you are done with that, rip out and replace the stringers. Wet foam removal when you are waiting for stuff. My $29 4.5" Skil grinder with 24" grit sanding disks was my best friend and almost made it through the project.
