Default Jamaica Bay Fluke

Hit JB yesterday with Joe on his skiff the MoJoe, it was a chilly, damp rainy day, was only out for a couple of hours, started to really come down. Managed three short Fluke, two 16" and the last one a NJ keeper 17 1/2". All three were returned.

Little early for good keeps in the bay. May be some but sporadic at best at least for Raritan Bay.
Another few degrees water temp wise and a couple more weeks.

If you want them now fish the first deep drop off outside the bays

Default Fluke

We were fishing in 45-50' of water just off the edge's then moved to the shallows, where the water is a little warmer and drifted into the deep ends. Water is still just a little chilly, even the Stripers have slowed down since we got this cold spell.

If no go on the outside edges hit structure points wreck spots where they will congregate or ifjust to chilly hit the outgoing for whatever streams or rivers flow into Jamaica Bay right where they empty in. Least that is how it works out for me.
