Default MAKO 220 Walkaround

Hello; A friend has a 1989 Mako 220 walk around for sale. Powered with a 2000 Merc 225 EFI OB. Does anyone have any experience with this hull design/boat and how it may compare to the v20? Thanks.

I don't personally have experience w/that boat...Mako made a good boat but started falling of quality-wise at some time...don't know if it was around 89 or not...go wet-test the boat...run it thru its paces, turn on every switch and use everything on the boat...run it wide open SHORTLY do it in a semi-rough sea and if you like it after a good in-water test run, buy it...don't "fall in love" w/it til AFTER you own it...be skeptical and let the boat prove itself to you...
Compression check the motor, looking at it all over w/the cowl off...check the foot oil...milky looking oil there is a problem...look for signs of corrosion around the edges...
Post some pics here and you'll draw some comments and opinions...
