no just regular blues, they boiled up good though. I stopped fooling with them after the flounder picked up. We lost/missed at least 10 more flatties.

There was no limit till 2 years ago. Now its 10 per with a minimum 12".

As many as we have there still shouldnt be a limit but some jackazzes posted a bunch of pictures of a jubillee a couple years ago where they literally kept a few hundred.

Thats yours truely...Im down 15 pounds and counting though so gimme some credit! LOL

And thats not a spear, its a homemade all-thread gig.

Better watch it, fore too long you'll be charged for GUI.

Dang, and I complain at our limits being 15 at 12".
We just don't have enough sandy locations around here to really justify going till about November when the boat traffic diminishes to not stir up so much silt.

At least you didn't totally ruin my day (well you really did) being those crabs weren't softshell. Think the only person that likes them more than me is my wife.

90% of my gigging is done on muddy bottom. Just gotta catch the wind right. It has to be a pretty calm day prior to a successfull night. Takes many hours for the silt to lay like you said. For the small coastline this area has though there are really a ton of places to gig. Regardless of conditions and wind direction I can generally find some clear water somewhere.

Edit: these last few trips are in MS and it is 15 there.

Did yall have any right-facing flatties????? I always like to look through a pile like that for that particular combo

From what I understand, catching a left and right facing flounderin the same trip is more rare than hitting a cycle in baseball.

(I know they all look right-facing in the pic but they are upside-down, look at the lips)
