Default north carolina bound

leaving the salt for a coupla days and heading to bryson city enjoy some cool nights and deep creek tubing. if you guys see a white tahoe driving real slow, check for a v-20 sticker in the back glass before you flip it off. i hate driving at elevations greater then 25 feet.

everybody have a safe & happy 4th.

we were up that way last month, didn't make it to Bryson City, but took a days detour to DuPont State park, they have "High Falls, Triple falls and Hooker falls all within walking distance. If you decide to go, wear good walking shoes. Be careful in the water, the rocks are slippery. The water was nice and cool

Wife and I have been talking about either Va or NC for retirement.
We have friends in Durham, so would like to be somewhat close to them. Unfortunately wife has a ways to go before she can retire, and since she has a government job having her quit and lose her pension is out of the question..so in about 9 years we'll get down there.

The Beacon still serves up "A-Plentay!!" as J.C. says...he's the blind guy and was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives...he wasn't there on my last visit, but far as I know he's still around...if you walk outta there hungry, it's YOUR fault!!...
