Volvo Penta outdrives Aq series parts for sale:

• Volvo Penta 280 - DP-E Duo Prop lower gear units (Ratio 1:95): These have been pulled apart and inspected, resealed and shafts dial tested.

• Volvo Penta AQ series TRIM CYLINDER seal kits: Save the $500 per cylinder (+ labor) Volvo wants to replace a perfectly good cylinder that is leaking. Do not even have to remove cylinder from transom shield: $85 (2 cylinder kit)

Volvo Penta SX / DPS Trim Cylinder rebuild kit $79 (Single cylinder)

• Volvo Penta C4 Stainless Steel Duoprop inner prop (large prop)

• Many new or refurbished Volvo propellers. I can let these go at a BARGAIN price. Short hub and long hub props

All of the AQ series can be rebuilt still attached to the transom shield, except the 290 & 290dp series they have to be removed from the shield. The attached end the shield is what has to be pulled thru the 2 end caps. I had to send mine to a shop, it took 10 tons of pressure to press them out. Now that they have come out I can and will pressure my out with the grease fitting to keep them free. I would like to get another good set of cylinders. I'll contact him to see if he has set or the rebuild kits.

I did find a notice from Volvo that recommended not using ATF in the cyl's, they flushed mine and replaced with oil. The notice said that some of the O rings and seals are made to react (swell) with motor oil and have a tendency not to swell with ATF. So far (cross fingers) it has not leaked.
We'll see. I'm putting it in the water Friday or Sat and trying it.
