Man, I have been looking & looking and looking some more, does anyone have a Mercury outdrive pre-Alpha or a gen l Alpha the was tied into a straight six motor with a 8" engine input shaft that has NO issues they are willing to sell for a reasonable price. There have been some I've looked at but all of the ads have been misleading without a doubt.
I really want to power my boat and get in the water for the first time and see if there are any other issues. Gotta have "go power" to see if there is going to be more frustrating work hours. Spareparts, I think you had said something about an outdrive awhile back but you wern't sure if it was needing anything...get in touch with me if that was what I remembered.
This is going to be for my 1977 V-20 cuddy with a chevy straight 6.
