Default New to site, recently purchased wellcraft v21

Just thought i'd introduce myself. My name's Chris, i live in Southwest Florida very close to Charlotte Harbor/Boca Grande (great fishing territory!) I purchased this 95 Wellcraft v21 earlier this month. It's my first boat, and i'm pretty excited about it. Not very educated on boats but i'm learning alot quickly.

I've taken it out a few times with the family and it's been a blast! I've got boatin/fishin fever, wish i could be on the water everyday

Welcome! I too have a 95 V21. Great boat and perfect for the family. Please post more pics. I have a bunch up in the V21 Gallery section. Our boats look a lot alike.

Most of the pictures i have are just close-ups of family/friends on the boat, don't show much of the boat itself, these show a little bit. I'll try to get better ones posted soon.

Yea that pool comes in real handy, gotta give credit to my wife on that one.

It really is such a great layout. I do want to rig up a portable bench to put in the back of it though. I've seen a few on this site, that will be my first project i think.

Welcome to the site. Great looking boat and family you have.

One quick thought. Like you said, you're new to the boating world, so maybe you don't know this. I'm not trying to throw water on your parade, but in NJ at least, it's against the law for children under 12 to be on a boat without wearing a life preserver... and it's just good common sense too. It only takes one rogue wave from a passing boat with someone sitting high up on a seat for them to get thrown overboard.

I appreciate the heads up. As long as i understand the law right, in Florida they only need to be wearing a life jacket if the vessel not anchored and in motion, and if the children are under 6 years old. Unless we are more than 9 miles offshore, then they must wear at all times. So basically i have them wear them until we anchor.
