Default 1991 V20 CC with 91 150 Evinrude

I love these boats and have been looking to buy one for a while now. I have just been waiting for the right one to come along. I think I may have found it.

It's a 1991 CC model with a 1991 150 Johnson/Evinrude on the back. The boat is in pretty good condition overall. It is solid everywhere, I couldn't find any soft spots or any areas of previous repair. It's on a roller trailer in decent shape. It has brakes but they are clearly not servicble. The carbs on the motor need to be rebuilt. The motor appears to be in really good shape with almost no corrosion. It almost seems like it has been a freshwater boat. The upholstery is original and therefore pretty rough. It has pedestal seats. The rear hatches at the transom are cracked and one is missing half. There are no electronics, t-top or bimini top, no batteries, cable steering seems good, but would prefer hydraulic.

The boat is in decent shape and I think it could come back pretty glossy after a good cleaning, compounding and waxing. This boat is being sold as is. I would check for compression, electrical systems, and check out the transom in more detail. Assuming the stuff I can check comes back ok, what is the boat worth. This is a local mom and pop type dealership. It looks like they sell mostly used boats but I think they carry a couple of small aluminum boat lines as well. They are asking $ 5,500 obo and when I left he said he would work out a deal with me. I has the original fuel lines and tank so I assume at the least the fuel lines would have to be changed out? I like the boat overall and I would put my mechanical aptittude around an 8 out 10. I don't mind doing some heavy lifting if the price is right. What do you guys think is a good price to get this at.

Again, I think the boat could easily be a 7-8 cosemetically with a little elbow grease, but right now the thing if filthy. I'm thinking in the $2,500 - $ 3,000 range. When I buy it the boat will not be running until i adress the carbs.

Thanks for the input.
