Default Anyone with experience with 70's ford trucks?

Do any of you guys have experience with 70's model's ford trucks? If so here is my question. This may sound crazy, but i'm looking for someone with experience with this before I jump into an impossible project. I have a 1974 Ford 250 Highboy 4x4. It is a regular cab long bed...

Short of it, I want to find a four door cab from the same period, hopefully be able to bolt straight to the frame with little fabrication, and then have a short bed fabed up... Possible without spending a fortune? Thanks guys.

i think the main problem will be finding a mid 70's 4 door cab worth saving. there was a customizer out west that bought up all he could find and was making 4 door broncos out of them.

Keeping my eyes open for a four door/ or even a club cab around here. Thanks guys. Didn't realize what a collectors item these things were when I bought this one.

I had a 69, 70, 78, and a 79.

Like said, finding one is going to be a real chore!!

But if you find one I am pretty sure it will fit, with a bit of work, you are going to need cab mounts, fot the back. Also might need to do some floor work so that the Trans bell housing will line up with the floor.

Keep us updated!
